Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

ThatPlay is intended for users aged 18 or older, including coaches, analysts, team staff and representatives of sports organisations. ThatPlay is not a children's service.

Players or other individuals appearing in analysed video are not automatically users of ThatPlay, and we do not ask you for their personal details.

2. The service

ThatPlay is a sports video analysis tool. You mark Moments in video, add Categories, Tags, player numbers, positions, notes and tactical board drawings, and build Reviews, Comparisons and exports.

Local video files you select stay on your device. ThatPlay stores your analysis data in your account.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Your content and your responsibility

ThatPlay provides the tool. You control the content. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions and lawful basis to use, analyse and share the material you process through ThatPlay — including match and training video, player information, player numbers, tactical notes, comments, reference material, Reviews and exported content.

This does not remove ThatPlay's own responsibilities. ThatPlay remains responsible for its own processing, platform security, account handling, data rights, access controls and appropriate handling of data stored in ThatPlay Cloud.

5. Ownership of your content

You retain ownership of and all applicable rights to your own content and analysis. ThatPlay claims no ownership of your local videos, Moments, Categories, Tags, tactical analysis, notes, Reviews, Comparisons, templates or exported coaching material.

You grant ThatPlay only the limited rights technically necessary to operate the service for content actually processed by ThatPlay — for example to store, retrieve and display your analysis data to you. No broader licence is granted.

6. ThatPlay intellectual property

The ThatPlay name, logo, software, interface, design and platform functionality remain the intellectual property of ThatPlay and its licensors. Nothing here transfers rights in your sports footage or analysis content to us.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without obligation to you.

7. Third-party content and reference videos

ThatPlay can reference YouTube videos through YouTube's official embedded player. Such content is hosted and governed by the third party and its own terms.

ThatPlay does not download, copy, re-host or overlay embedded third-party video, does not remove attribution or standard controls, and does not include it in downloadable ThatPlay video exports. Referencing content in ThatPlay grants you no additional rights to it.

You must not use ThatPlay to circumvent access restrictions, copy protection, subscription restrictions, platform restrictions or copyright restrictions.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use ThatPlay to:

• process unlawfully obtained material
• infringe copyright or other rights
• intentionally violate privacy rights or carry out unlawful surveillance
• circumvent a video platform's security or access restrictions
• upload malware or otherwise interfere with the service
• attempt unauthorised access to other accounts or data
• publish illegal content or impersonate another person or organisation
• resell access unless we have explicitly permitted it

9. A free service

ThatPlay is a privately developed, non-commercial service. It is free to use: there are no plans, prices, trials, invoices, payment methods, discount codes or subscriptions of any kind.

There is no intention to charge for ThatPlay. If that ever changed, these terms and the Free service page would be updated first, and no charge could be made without you actively and knowingly agreeing to it.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using ThatPlay at any time. You can delete your cloud analysis data and your entire account from Settings → Privacy & data, and remove locally stored data from your device at any time. Since nothing is paid for, there is nothing to cancel or refund.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep ThatPlay available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change or discontinue features; for material adverse changes to a paid plan we give reasonable notice.

12. Termination

You may stop using ThatPlay and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, unlawful use, or where required by law, normally after notice unless the situation makes that unreasonable.

13. Liability

ThatPlay is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of content you have not backed up — particularly local video files, which we do not store. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Sweden, without depriving a consumer of the protection of mandatory rules in their country of residence. Contact legal@thatplay.se first — most issues are resolved that way. Consumers in the EU may also use the relevant national dispute resolution bodies.

15. Changes to these terms

Version 1.0, last updated 2026-08-09. For material changes we notify you and, where legally or contractually necessary, ask you to accept the new version. Trivial copy edits do not trigger re-acceptance.
